  • Members examine and evaluate structure of farmhouse

  • Community Open House - Leif Alpsjö, nyckelharpist and musician of Sweden, April
  • Decision to keep farmhouse and continue renting for $500/mo
  • Paint Viking Hall -- donation by Lutheran Brotherhood, a fraternal insurance organization

  • Presentation of GLENN SEABORG DAY, May
  • Honorary Board Members announced:

    Siri Eliason, Honorary Swedish Consul General in San Francisco
  • Invested $12,000 renovating farmhouse

  • Received Big Screen TV as gift in memory of Edward Sundberg
  • Acoustical improvements made interior of Viking Hall
  • Windstorm blows roof off farmhouse

1997

  • New roof, cost of $8000
  • Surprise - insurance covered $3000 of roof expense
  • Campaign for $10,000 building fund reduction

1998

  • Debt reduction campaign reaches goal of $10,000
  • New furnace/air conditioner installed in Viking Hall
